A PERSONAL SD #23 HORROR STORY & WARNING
SD #23 Warning ! Should your child attend a school in School District No.23? My experience with how poorly Superintendent Rubadeau has been running SD #23 says no ! This is a school district that has clearly gone wrong & Rubadeau rates a failing grade as a Superintendent who has allowed loopholes & a lack of checks & balances in the system.
I have been the victim of a fraudulent layoff that SD #23 blamed on a make believe shortage of money, then on a make believe shortage of work. SD #23 admitted in a taped meeting that it did indeed break the law when it made a false statement on my Record of Employment to set up the layoff. SD #23 then recalled me to work the layoff period but would not count the days worked towards the 65 days that I needed to reach regular employee status. SD #23 fraudulently blocked me from getting health & pension benefits.
SD #23 knew for 5 months that the area I had to clean was 2000' or more over it's regulated size yet the school Principal downloaded even more area to clean on me. SD #23 was guilty of theft by stealing time from me. It owes me for 100's of hours.
The Principal then wrote two performance evaluations that she hid from me, contrary to SD #23 procedure that required her to complete them 10 days prior to end of probation, show them to me & have me sign them. I never saw them or signed them.
SD #23 did not ensure that the Principal followed proceedure.
The school Principal ran a very unsafe school that put the children at risk. I blew the whistle on the safety hazards. The Principal in turn lied, distorted the truth & made false accusations of time theft against me. The alarm computer exposed her lies & distortions & showed me to be honest. After I blew the whistle on the unsafe conditions SD #23 wrongfully dismissed me based on it's lies, false statement on my ROE & false charges. The school district had fraudulently blocked me from getting regular employee status with specific rights, then fired me for general unsuitability, something that it could not do if it had not blocked me from reaching regular employee status.
Throughout this ordeal I suffered workplace bullying & harassment from the school Principal, Vice Principal & Head Custodian. Superintendent Rubadeau lied to my wife when he did not keep his word to take the weekend to go over the matter but called her in a half day. Director of Human Resources Alan Akehurst lied to me when he did not keep his word to talk to teachers & Principals that I had worked with. I had many performance evaluations with no problem until Principal Buckley who I blew the whistle on for the unsafe conditions at her school.
SD #23 malfeasance, lies, false accusations & threats have gone uncorrected by two cowardly Board of Trustees.
The SD #23 misconduct affects young children, that is why I recommend not enrolling them in SD #23 schools.
If you must enroll them keep your eyes & ears wide open for your children's sake.
SD #23 needs a Superintendent with integrity, morals & ethics.
